On Thursday, August 28th, last week, Asocolflores, together with its members, allies, former ambassadors, and friends, celebrated Asocolflores 50th anniversary. It was a cultural celebration at the theater Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogota.
Where guests first attended the performance of “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff. And then a reception in remembrance of the 50 milestones of Asocolflores that have marked the history of Colombian floriculture.
John Vaughan, Ricardo Valenzuela, Thomas Kehler, and Francisco Bazzani, the first manager of Asocolflores. Augusto Solano, president of Asocolflores, highlighted the milestones of these five decades where Asocolflores has promoted a responsible, inclusive, and sustainable floriculture.
As well as gained a place within the leadership of the floral industry and Colombia an outstanding position in the international market as the main flower supplier to the United States and the second largest world exporter of flowers, reaching more than 100 countries.
At the end, there was a toast for the first 50 years of Asocolflores and the years to come!
