What makes Proflora unique is that it’s not just a trade show, it’s an industry-wide experience. This trade show begins on September 30th with exclusive farm tours for international buyers, continues with three days of exhibition at Corferias, Bogota from October 1–3, and concludes with the Skills and Abilities contest on September 4 that highlights the skills of the workers who allow Colombian flowers to reach more than 100 countries.
What makes Proflora the most eagerly awaited event of the year is its unique ability to transform every encounter into an opportunity. It is the perfect stage to connect with industry leaders and experts, discover the latest trends shaping the sector, and explore new paths for growth and collaboration.
A Program Packed with Experiences
The journey begins on Tuesday, September 30th, with exclusive farm tours for international flower buyers. Three curated routes across the Savannah of Bogotá will highlight Colombia’s unmatched richness: La Plazoleta (Alstroemeria, Snapdragon, Statice, Limonium, Solidago) and Geoflora (Carnations, Spray Carnations,
Alstroemerias, Florincas, Ranunculus, Anemones); Ayurá (Roses and Carnations) and Alexandra Farms (Garden Roses, Dahlias, Tweedia); or Cultivos del Norte
(Chrysanthemums and Roses) and Don Eusebio (Carnations and Green Ball). More than visits, these tours are a firsthand look why Flowers of Colombia are recognized globally for their quality, sustainability, and diversity.
On Wednesday, October 1st, Proflora will open with an inspiring ceremony at 10:00 AM, followed by three full days of exhibitions and high-level networking until Friday, October 3rd. The fair will close with an invitation-only celebration at Andrés D.C., one
of Bogotá’s most iconic venues.
Where Innovation Defines Global Trends
A highlight of this edition is the Outstanding Varieties Competition, with 427 registered entries across 19 categories, presented by both breeders introducing new varieties and producers showcasing excellence in cultivation. In total, 55 companies are registered this year, underscoring its relevance.
This mix makes the competition much more than a contest is a snapshot of the industry’s future. In one space, the world can discover the creativity, innovation, and diversity that Flowers of Colombia inspire, while identifying the must-have varieties that will lead global markets in 2026 and beyond.
Opportunities for Everyone: From Small to Large Producers
For the second consecutive edition, 11 small Colombian producers affiliated to Asocolflores will exhibit at stand 710. A 96-square-meter space that highlights their talent, resilience, and commitment to quality. Their presence reflects Proflora’s essence: a platform where both large exporters and small growers can showcase their
work and contribute to the growth of the global flower industry.
Celebrating the People Behind the Flowers
Although the fair officially closes on October 3rd, the celebration doesn’t stop there. On September 4th, Proflora dedicated a special day to honor the more than 200,000 workers who make Colombian floriculture possible. The Skills and Abilities Contest bring together workers from across the country to demonstrate their expertise in categories such as Empiole, Disbudding, Cutting Point, Pompon and Carnation Cutting, Bouquet Assembly, and Classification. Beyond the competition, it is a tribute to the hands that keep this industry thriving and ensure Colombian flowers reach homes and celebrations worldwide.
