Welcoming Verdissimo: Preserving Beauty, Innovation, and Moments That Matter

At New Bloom Media, we believe the floral industry moves forward when innovation is guided by intention. That’s why we’re proud to welcome Verdissimo as our newest partner—a global leader in preserved flowers and plants that has been redefining how floral beauty is experienced since 1988.

As the industry continues to evolve, floral professionals are looking for solutions that balance creativity, longevity, and responsibility. Verdissimo meets this moment with 100% natural preserved botanicals that maintain their beauty for years with virtually no maintenance—opening new possibilities for design, retail, and commercial applications across the floral supply chain.

Who Is Verdissimo?

Founded in 1988 in Paris, France, Verdissimo has become a benchmark for high-end preserved flowers, foliage, and trees used in interior decoration and design. As part of the Innovaflora Group, the world’s largest producer of preserved flowers and plants, Verdissimo serves customers in more than 55 countries with a team of over 750 employees.

The group operates production sites in Colombia, Ecuador, and Spain, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and more than 280,000 square meters of fields and greenhouse installations. This vertically integrated structure allows Verdissimo to control quality from cultivation through preservation, ensuring consistency, reliability, and excellence across its entire product portfolio.

What Makes Verdissimo Different

Verdissimo’s preservation process combines the natural beauty of living plants with the durability of an inert object. Flowers and plants are harvested at their optimal moment—when form, texture, and color are at their peak—then preserved using proprietary technology refined through decades of experience.

This expertise has positioned Verdissimo as a market leader in product range, production capacity, and preservation know-how, trusted by global brands including Disney, Interflora, and Chopard. The result is a preserved product that looks and feels remarkably close to fresh—often so natural that preservation goes unnoticed by the untrained eye.

Research, Development, and the Science Behind Preservation

Innovation at Verdissimo is driven by precision and long-term vision. Each preserved product begins with a clear definition of its aesthetic, technical, and market requirements, followed by the selection of the most suitable preservation method for that specific flower or plant.

Because every variety behaves differently, development includes laboratory testing and prototype evaluation under varying light, temperature, and humidity conditions. Once quality standards are achieved, processes move into industrial testing to ensure consistency and scalability.

From concept to market, developing a new preserved product typically takes six to twelve months. With 20 to 30 active R&D projects each year, Verdissimo continuously evolves its portfolio to deliver preserved botanicals that look and perform as close to fresh as possible.

Rooted in the Andes: Where Quality Begins

A defining strength behind Verdissimo’s quality lies in its exclusive flower crops in the Andean regions of Colombia and Ecuador, totaling more than 20 hectares. These regions are globally recognized for their ideal growing conditions, driven by altitude, climate diversity, and geographic stability.

Roses are cultivated at elevations between 2,000 and 3,100 meters, where cooler temperatures and high solar radiation result in larger blooms, stronger petals, and richer color saturation. Other varieties—such as hydrangeas, orchids, carnations, chrysanthemums, gardenias, gerberas, and tuberoses—are grown at lower altitudes with warmer, more humid conditions. Verdissimo also maintains dedicated crops for greenery and palm leaves, cultivated with the same level of control and care.

Every step—from manual pruning and precise harvest timing to specialized transport and handling—is designed to preserve quality while respecting natural resources.

Practical Value for the Floral Industry

Verdissimo’s preserved flowers offer real, measurable value across the floral supply chain. With no need for watering, refrigeration, or ongoing maintenance, these products significantly reduce waste, labor, and replacement costs.

For florists, designers, retailers, and commercial buyers, preserved botanicals support consistent availability, long-term installations, and scalable design solutions—making them especially valuable for hospitality, retail displays, and permanent floral concepts that require reliability without compromising beauty.

Sustainability at Every Stage

Sustainability at Verdissimo is embedded in how the company operates. Through Verdissimo Being Conscious, the Innovaflora Group integrates environmental, social, and economic responsibility across every stage of production.

This approach is built on continuous improvement—from biodiversity conservation and responsible water management to waste reduction and tracking carbon footprints. Sustainability also extends to packaging and logistics, with designs optimized to reduce transportation emissions and materials selected for high recyclability without compromising product protection.

Aligned with Florverde Sustainable Flowers, international environmental standards, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Verdissimo has reduced its CO₂-equivalent emissions by 34% over the past three years, delivering preserved floral solutions that balance beauty, longevity, and responsibility.
